The Yoga Evolution Retreat Centre is located deep in the heart of a remote part of central Portugal and is the home of founders Sue & Peter.
Our yoga retreat Portugal is set just below the hilltop village of Amieira, Oleiros, Castelo Branco in six hectares of peaceful well tendered and loved forest land with the most beautiful panoramic views, is what we like to call our magical place. We call our home this because for over a decade we have witnessed the transformational effects our teachings and home has had on the many thousands of people that have visited us here.
Styles of Yoga
Primarily we have been teaching ashtanga vinyasa yoga with yin yoga and mindful meditation as well as dynamic yoga and vinyasa flow. As the years have passed we have trained in many other methods of practice, such as Qi Gong, Shamanic practices. We have found that a blend of different approaches to ourselves has helped us evolve into much more peaceful human beings. On our yoga retreats 2019 you will be able to book a retreat that brings about many elements of the ancient and modern methods of practice all here at our centre and taught by us. Accommodation
We have a range of option available on our retreat weeks. From single rooms to twin or double rooms. If you feel a complete digital detox would be the most beneficial thing for you then try staying in one of our eco caravans. On some weeks we also have camping available. Our stone cottage is the only en suit facility here. All of our accommodation is elegantly decorated and perfect for a week or two.
Exploring
We have a lot of land here that is just waiting to be explored, with miles of forest tracks, a natural salt water swimming pool, rock pools at the bottom of the valley. And amongst the trees you can find hammocks positioned between the Oak and Pine trees.
Yoga Shala
We have a purpose built yoga shala which is incredibly spacious, we provide all the yoga equipment you will need for your stay ranging from manduka yoga mats to comfortable cushions and bolsters for you yin yoga sessions.
